8 Indian troopers killed in IED blast from Naxals

Sukma: Eight Central Reserve Police Force Jawans were killed in an IED blast by Naxals in Chhattisgarh's Sukma region. In addition, six personnel were injured, four of them critical.

According to news agency ANI, the CRPF jawans belonged to battalion 212. Currently, an encounter is on between Naxals and jawans.

According to reports, officials said that IED blasts are the most popular way employed by Naxals to launch surprise attacks on jawans.

The incident takes place a few weeks after two jawans were killed in an encounter between security forces and Naxals.
