Gujurat: Owing to the fear of losing her husband during his Kashmir posting, a woman in Gujarat committed suicide. The incident happened in Khambhaliya which is situated in Devbhoomi Dwarka, Gujarat. The woman allegedly committed suicide on Saturday night after the fear of losing her husband took over her.
The wife of an Indian Army jawan committed suicide allegedly because she was scared of losing her husband. The deceased was found hanging from the ceiling fan by her husband's side late Saturday night
According to the Times of India's report, the husband was posted in Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir and was visiting home on leave. Allegedly, the husband had only recently escaped an avalanche and the Pulwama militant attacks had only augmented her fear. The couple had been married to each other for two years and the deceased was constantly convincing her husband not to return to his job. Contrary to her worries, the husband insisted on joining duty and going back to Gulmarg.
While talking to the TOI, woman sub-inspector, KN Jadeja stated that the deceased did not want her husband to return to Gulmarg and following the Pulwama attacks, she had grown even more paranoid.
Allegedly, the family members and the husband found his room locked after they returned from a family function. Thinking that the deceased had gone to sleep, the husband and the family decided that they would not disturb her. When the deceased did not open her door in the morning, her husband broke it open only to find his wife's body hanging from the ceiling fan. The police has not recorded the statements of the family members because they are still recovering with the loss.
