Internet service suspended in Pulwama and Shopian

PULWAMA: Authorities on Saturday evening blocked the mobile Internet service in south Kashmir’s districts of Pulwama and Shopian.
While the authorities were tightlipped over the reason behind the suspension, sources said the service was blocked in the wake of resignation videos of Special Police Officers (SPOs) surfacing on the social media.
Reports said the service was first barred in Pulwama followed by adjoining Shopian district.
The videos of the SPOs were being widely circulated on the social media following the abduction and killings of three cops in Shopian yesterday.
Home Ministry has denied the reports of resignations of the cops.
