Bhartiya Janata Party Wednesday claimed that University student Muzamil Farooq was linked with militancy and the government’s move to release him signifies that BJP respects the sentiments of the student community that protested against his arrest by state police.

BJP senior leader Fayaz Ahmed Bhat said that BJP’s stand of allowing the release of Muzamil Farooq in spite of his ‘militancy links’ proves the party respects the sentiments of Kashmir University students.
