Two persons have been arrested for assaulting a truck driver in the Indian state of Punjab.
A couple of goons assaulted a Kashmiri truck driver Sahil Iqbal from Kulgam district at toll plaza Mukerian in Hoshiarpur Punjab.
Taking strong notice of the incident, J&K Truck Operators Welfare Union had appealed to LG Manoj Sinha to intervene and get the accused arrested.

The victim who was hit with a rod on his head has received multiple stitches.
Jammu Kashmir Students Association said that they apprised Punjab Assembly Speaker about the incident and police have arrested both the accused.
An FIR vide number 173/2022 IPC has been registered in this regard. The matter is being dealt with as per the law, Jammu Kashmir Students Association National Convener Nasir Khuehami said while quoting DSP Mukerian Kulwinder Virk. (KNT)
