Army on Sunday said that it killed two infiltrators in Poonch area of Jammu region.
A defense spokesman said the infiltration bid was foiled in Balakot sector on Saturday evening.

He said that around 7.45 pm (Saturday), alert troops of the Indian Army deployed on the border fence in Balakot, observed suspicious movement ahead of the border fence and subsequently neutralized two infiltrators. “The area has been cordoned off and the operation is in progress,” the spokesman said.

He said that a huge quantity of arms and ammunition were recovered from the possession of the slain infiltrators whose identity and group affiliation are awaited.
Meanwhile, One more person identified as Prince Sharma, who was injured in Dhangri Rajouri militant attack last week has succumbed to injuries taking the toll to seven (7).
The Defense spokesperson said that searches are underway in Balakot Sector. [KNT]
