Dead body of a missing septuagenarian man found in Srinagar

River Police on Monday recovered the dead body of a septuagenarian man from the river Jehlum in Srinagar.

The dead body was retrieved between Budshah Bridge and Amirakadal.

The deceased person has been identified as 70-year-old Ghulam Muhammad Bhat, a resident of Rambagh who had gone missing on 26 December last month.

After the medico-legal formalities, police handed over the body to the family. Police in this regard have registered a case under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
