KASHMIR NEWS TRUST #KNT

Due to mudslides in Cafeteria area and snow accumulation at Qazigund Banihal, the Srinagar-Jammu highway has been closed to vehicular traffic.

Official sources said that Srinagar-Jammu was blocked at Cafeteria, Mehar, Ramban due to mudslides and snow accumulation at Banihal.

They said it is continuously snowing in Banihal while men and machinery have been pressed into service to clear the road for the traffic.

Pertinently, Kashmir Valley and parts of Pir Panjal witnessed fresh snowfall on Friday. [KNT]
