The government today said that all the 25 shops sealed in Srinagar city-centre yesterday have been unsealed keeping the ‘livelihood’ concerns of affected shopkeepers into account.

While talking to the news agency Kashmir News Trust, Tehsildar South Moen Azhar said that there will be action in the future but at this stage, government has decided to unseal all the sealed shops at Aftab Market Srinagar.

“For the time being the process has been put on hold. Srinagar administration is concerned about the livelihood of these shopkeepers and has decided to allow them to run their normal business,” he said adding that sealing illegal structures is a common process.
