House, School gutted in South Kashmir mid-night blaze

In a midnight blaze a house was gutted while an educational institution suffered partial damage in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, official sources said.

The fire broke out in a double-storey house owned by one Khurshid Hasan Sheikh in Siligam Ashmuqam area of Anantnag district.

Firefighters with the help of locals and police doused the fire, however, the house was completely gutted in the incident.

Local sources said that ‘Salfia English Medium school also suffered partial damage in the fire incident.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case to ascertain facts. [KNT]
