Two lady tourists die in South Kashmir road accident

Two lady tourists from West Bengal were killed and three others injured in a road accident in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

The mishap occurred in the Arwani Bibehara area of the district when an Etios vehicle (JK02BE-3152) carrying tourists collided with a truck (JK03A-8931) on the highway.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that five tourists on board were injured, and were immediately evacuated to Government Medical College Anantnag, where two among them succumbed to their injuries.

The injured have been referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment.
Hospital sources identified the deceased as Karuna Sardar wife of Daya Lal and Nandita Kumari both residents of Kolkatta.

The injured who are undergoing treatment are Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Udhampur, Bhano Lal, both from Kolkatta.. [KNT]
