CRPF officer commits suicide in Central Kashmir

A Central Reserve Police Force officer posted in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district ended his life by hanging himself inside his barrack, official sources said.

They said an Assistant Sub-Inspector (name withheld) from North Indian state of Haryana was found hanging in his barrack. He was shifted to SD Chadora where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the deceased was posted in Chadora and was part of 181 Battalion.

Police in the meantime, have started proceeding under 174 CrPc to investigate the matter.
