Four houses gutted in Alamgari Bazar fire incident

At least four residential houses were gutted in a fire incident at Alamgari Bazar area of Srinagar old city.

Official sources said that a fire broke out in a house at Ganiedoori locality during the morning hours of Sunday that engulfed three other houses.

They said fire tenders rushed to the spot and with the help of police and locals put out the fire.

The four houses damaged in the incident belonged to Parvez Ahmed Mir, Zafar Ahmed Malla, Dilawar Hussain Malla and Ghulam Muhammad Dar.

Police took cognizance of the incident, and registered a case under relevant sections of the law to ascertain the cause of the fire.

Meanwhile, locals appealed to the district administration Srinagar to extend all possible help to the fire victims. [KNT]
