Poonch Attack: NIA raids underway at dozens of locations in J&K

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday morning carried out searches at multiple places in Poonch and four districts of Kashmir Valley in connection with a recent deadly attack carried out by militants in Poonch.

Reliable sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that NIA carried out raids at dozens of locations. “The raids are being carried out in four districts of Central and South Kashmir. Besides, at many locations in Poonch the search operations are underway,” said an official.

Five soldiers were killed in Bhatadurian area of Poonch recently after which NIA took the charge of the case.

Dozens of persons have been detained so far and the search operation started in Poonch after the day of attack continues. Police have claimed that locals provided logistic support to the militants. Dozens of locals have been arrested in connection with this deadly attack. [KNT]
