Police today said that it killed 4 infiltrators in a joint operation in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Jammu Kashmir Police said that in a joint operation, Army and Police killed four militants in Kala Jungle of Machhal sector in Kupwara.
These infiltrators as per police were trying to this part of Kashmir from Pakistan administered Kashmir.

With the killing of these 4 infiltrators, the number of infiltrators killed this month has reached 12.
The data available with the news agency Kashmir News Trust reveals that 12 infiltrators were killed in 4 encounters in the ongoing month of June. These infiltrators were killed in Dassal Gali forest area of Rajouri, Doganar Machil Sector along LoC, Jumagund and Kala forest area in Kupwara district.
The data shows that 20 infiltrators have been killed so far this year in Jammu and Kashmir. [KNT]
