Dead body of injured militant located after 13 days in Rajouri

After 13 days, the dead body of an infiltrator was found by joint forces in Gundha Khawas area of Rajouri on Friday. On 5 August an infiltrator was killed in an encounter while the associate of the neutralized infiltrator had suffered injuries but had managed to escape from the spot.

The dead body of the injured militant was found near a gorge by joint forces.

Police said that on 5 August two Pakistani militants were entrapped by Police in an encounter at Gundha Khwas area. In the encounter one militant was eliminated and another one was severally injured.

In the ongoing operation, joint teams of forces including teams of Reasi and Rajouri police were on the lookout for the second militant who got injured but managed to escape from the site taking benefit of thick foliage.

Police added that today joint teams of forces including Police, Army, and CAPF located the body of the militant from a gorge where he fell while trying to escape the hot chase of security forces.

“The said militant initially seems to be a foreign Pakistani militant and is suspected to be involved in many militancy cases of Rajouri Poonch region including the recent attack on joint forces at Kesari Hill and  Dhangri militants incident.” [KNT]
