Teenage boy from Srinagar drowns to death in Jehlum

A teenage boy drowned to death in river Jehlum near Zero Bridge in Srinagar while taking a bath on Tuesday.

After being informed by the Police Station Raj Bagh about the incident, River Police swung into action and fished out the dead body of 19-year-old boy.

A River police official told news agency Kashmir News Trust that Owais Mehraj, a resident of Ikhraj Pora Srinagar drowned while taking a bath in the Jehlum near Zero Bridge. He said his body was retrieved after required formalities, the body was handed over to the family. [KNT]
