We expect ‘justice’ from Supreme Court: Omar Abdullah

Former Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister who personally attended the hearing on Article 370 on Wednesday said that people of the erstwhile state are looking at the Supreme Court and they are hopeful of getting justice from the highest seat of law.

“We are hopeful and expecting justice from the Supreme Court. Not only politically but constitutionally as well, worst happened with the Jammu and Kashmir. We have got an opportunity to put forth our views before the Supreme Court,” Omar Abdullah told reporters outside the Supreme Court.

He said whatever happened in Jammu and Kashmir or is happening is wrong.

Meanwhile, another former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti said that Supreme Court has to decide whether it wants to implement the brute rule and decisions foisted by BJP or is eager to run the country constitutionally. [KNT]
