A portion of the road has caved in the Khati Darwaza area of Rainawari Srinagar. Locals feel it could prove fatal and may damage residential houses, if not taken care of.
The road has started caving in at the General Bagh area. Locals told news agency Kashmir News Trust that they informed Srinagar Municipal Corporation about it, however, they were told to contact the Roads and Building Department.
“The hole should be barricaded to avoid any accident. This sunken portion of the road has not been barricaded yet. It needs government attention,” locals said and appealed to authorities to visit the spot. [KNT]
