Reasi, Dec 25, KNT: An accident occurred where a minibus carrying a wedding party slid off the road and fell into a gorge while traveling from Balmatkote to Badar village in Reasi, Jammu, early morning of Monday.
Official sources said that the unfortunate incident resulted in the loss of two young lives and injuries to over 12 individuals including young girls.
They said that the accident took place near Damini during pre-dawn hours when the vehicle (JK20C-2474) carrying the marriage party went out of control from the driver and fell into a deep gorge.
Official sources added that a 25-year-old youth identified as Muhammad Ashraf died on the spot while 17-year-old Tahir Ahmad, breathed his last while being transported for specialized treatment in Rajouri.

Among the injured were nine girls aged between 3 and 19 years old. They were promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention.
Medical sources said that the condition of 4 persons is critical.
Police in this regard have registered a formal case. [KNT]
