15 J&K Police Officers Awarded President’s Medal for Gallantry on Republic Day

 

Srinagar, Jan 25, KNT: Fifteen police officers from Jammu and Kashmir have been honored with the prestigious President’s Medal for Gallantry on the occasion of Republic Day, recognizing their exceptional bravery and dedication to duty.

The awardees include the late Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Himayun Muzamil, whose sacrifice in the line of duty has been remembered with great respect. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar, known for his leadership in counter-insurgency operations, also figures among the recipients.

Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) Rakesh Balwal and Iftkhar Talib have been acknowledged for their outstanding contributions to maintaining law and order in challenging circumstances.
