Bizarre: MVD Inspectors Secure Truck Licences Under Their Own Supervision

Srinagar, Feb 15, KNT: In a shocking case of procedural misconduct, three Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) inspectors (names withheld) in Jammu and Kashmir managed to obtain heavy motor vehicle (truck) licences under their own supervision. The irregularity has raised serious concerns about transparency and accountability in the licensing process.

An insider said that he is shocked at how such a blatant violation of procedure could go unchecked. “This is a clear conflict of interest and a gross violation of norms. The licensing process demands independent evaluation, but these officials have manipulated the system for personal gain,” he added. [KNT]
