PDD Employee Injured in Nowshera Succumbs in Srinagar hospital

 

Srinagar, Feb 3, KNT: A Power Development Department (PDD) employee who was injured last week in Nowshera has succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Srinagar, officials said on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Bashir Ahmad Sofi (38), son of Ghulam Muhammad Sofi, a resident of Gadoora, Ganderbal. He was undergoing treatment at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) after sustaining critical injuries in an accident while on duty.

Family sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that Sofi had been battling for his life for several days but succumbed despite medical efforts.
