Midnight Blaze Damages Three School Buildings in South Kashmir’s Kulgam

Kulgam, July 15, KNT: A midnight fire engulfed three school buildings in the Dangerpora Brinal area of Devsar in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

The Education Department has filed a formal complaint, following which the police registered a case. While the exact cause of the blaze remains unknown, police have launched an investigation to determine the origin of the fire that resulted in significant infrastructural loss.

An official told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that while the loss is deeply unfortunate, temporary arrangements are being made to ensure that the education of enrolled students is not disrupted. “The students from the damaged buildings will be shifted to another school facility nearby until final arrangements are worked out,” he said, expressing hope that the police will soon ascertain the cause of the fire.
