Mother-Daughter Duo Injured in South Kashmir’s Pulwama Road Accident, Mother Critical


Pulwama, July 28, KNT: A road accident in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on late Monday left a mother-daughter duo injured, with the elderly mother reported to be in critical condition. The accident occurred in the Vokharwan Koyil area when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with another unidentified vehicle, according to the reports.

The injured were first taken to District Hospital (DH) Pulwama and later referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment. Medical sources at SMHS confirmed to the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the condition of the mother remains critical, while the daughter is stated to be out of danger.

The injured have been identified as Misra, aged around 60, wife of Gulzar Ahmad Dar, resident of Gulshan Abad Rajpora in Pulwama, and her 20-year-old daughter Shahista. Doctors said Misra has suffered serious injuries and is under constant medical supervision, while Shahista’s condition is stable.
