Schools to Reopen Across Kashmir on July 8: Education Minister Issues Revised Timing Schedule No Extension in Summer Vacation, Students to Resume Offline and Online Classes

 

Srinagar, Jul 7, KNT: Ending speculation over a possible extension of the summer vacation, Jammu and Kashmir’s Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Monday confirmed that all government and private educational institutions across the Kashmir Valley will reopen on Tuesday, July 8 as scheduled.

The minister clarified that no extension has been granted to the ongoing summer break. “The schools will reopen on Tuesday. All teaching and learning activities will resume as per the new time schedule,” she said.

According to the minister, schools falling within municipal limits of all districts, from primary level to class 12th, will function from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, in view of the prevailing summer heat.

Meanwhile, institutions located in rural or non-municipal areas will observe slightly delayed timings, operating from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon.

In a new blended learning approach, the minister also announced that students will be expected to attend two hours of online classes after returning home. “Students will take a one-hour break after reaching home and then connect for online lessons to strengthen the day’s learning,” she explained.
