Budgam Hit-and-Run: Woman Dies at SMHS, Son in Critical Condition

 

Srinagar, August 6, KNT: A woman injured in a hit-and-run accident in the Beerwah area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district has succumbed to her injuries at SMHS Hospital in Srinagar, while her son continues to battle for life.

The accident occurred on Wednesday morning when a speeding tipper struck a scooter in Wachoo village, throwing both the mother and son off the vehicle. The victims were initially taken to a nearby hospital and later shifted to SMHS Srinagar due to the severity of their injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Fatima, wife of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Parra of Wachoo Beerwah. Her son, identified as Sameer Ahmad, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Parra, remains in critical condition.
