Students in Gurez suffer as mobile connectivity absent in Baktore, Kanzalwan

Bandipora, Aug 25, KNT: Several villages in Block Baktore and Kanzalwan of Gurez valley in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district continue to remain deprived of mobile network connectivity, leaving locals frustrated and students struggling to keep pace with digital education.
Ex-BDC Chairman of Kanzalwan, Mukhtar Ahmad Lone, expressed concern over the issue, stating that most villages in the Baktore-Kanzalwan belt, including Chutiwari, Naye Basti, and Nayil, lack basic mobile services. He termed it unfortunate that in the digital age, such essential facilities remain a distant dream for the people of the area.
Lone told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that villagers had repeatedly approached the concerned authorities with appeals for installation of mobile towers, but their demands have not been addressed. He stressed that the absence of connectivity is particularly damaging for students, who are unable to access online classes and educational resources.

They appealed to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, and MLA Nazir Ahmad Gurezi to intervene and resolve the matter without any further delay. [KNT]
