DC Budgam inspects Panzan Bridge, urges people to avoid movement near flooded areas

 

Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, on Wednesday carried out an urgent inspection of the Panzan Bridge on Shaliganga Nallah in view of continuous rainfall and rising water levels.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the flood control measures in place and interacted with ground teams to ensure that response mechanisms remain swift and effective.

Dr Bhat appealed to people to stay away from the Panzan Bridge and avoid unnecessary movement near the inundated areas. “The administration is closely monitoring the situation and all necessary precautions are being taken. I urge locals not to cross or gather near the bridge until further notice,” he said.

Officials said that advisories will be issued from time to time and people should rely only on official channels for updates.
