Karisma Kapoor’s Children Move Delhi High Court Over Sunjay Kapur’s Rs 30000 Crore Estate

Delhi, Sep 11, KNT: The death of business tycoon Sunjay Kapur has triggered a high-profile inheritance battle, with his children from actor Karisma Kapoor — Samaira and Kiaan — approaching the Delhi High Court to claim their rightful share in his Rs 30000 crore estate.
The legal proceedings have drawn attention across corporate and entertainment circles, as the case involves one of India’s most prominent business families alongside the Kapoor film dynasty.
Sunjay Kapur, the 53-year-old chairman of Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. (Sona Comstar), collapsed while playing polo in Windsor, UK, earlier this year. Known for his global social connections and business acumen, his sudden passing left behind a sprawling estate and business holdings.
His mortal remains were flown back to Delhi, where the last rites were performed at Lodhi Cremation Ground. In an emotional moment, his teenage son Kiaan, from his marriage with Karisma Kapoor, lit the funeral pyre. Sunjay’s widow Priya Sachdev, their young son, and the Kapoor family were all present for the cremation.
