Landslide blocks Jammu-Poonch highway near Dudhadhari Ashram

Rajouri, Sep 3, KNT: A major landslide triggered by continuous rainfall has hit the Jammu-Poonch National Highway near Shri Dudhadhari Ashram in Rajouri, leaving traffic movement severely disrupted.

Officials said that heavy debris rolled down onto the road, causing blockages and forcing vehicles to halt at several points. Traffic police and local administration teams have reached the spot to monitor the situation.

Authorities have urged commuters to follow travel advisories and avoid landslide-prone areas till clearance work is completed. “The priority is to ensure safety of travelers. People must exercise caution while moving on this stretch,” an official said. [KNT]
