LG Manoj Sinha to Chair Unified Command Meeting at Raj Bhavan

 

Srinagar, Sept 26, KNT: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will chair a crucial Unified Command meeting at Raj Bhavan here today to review the overall security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting will bring together senior commanders of the Army, police leadership, central armed police forces and top intelligence officials for a comprehensive assessment of prevailing conditions in the Union Territory.

Sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the Unified Headquarters, the apex security decision-making body in Jammu and Kashmir, is expected to deliberate on multiple aspects of security, including counter-militancy operations, infiltration attempts across the Line of Control, and measures to prevent targeted attacks in urban areas. Special focus will also be placed on security arrangements for upcoming festivals and political events.

Officials indicated that issued related to militancy will feature prominently in the discussions. The meeting is also expected to evaluate operational coordination between various security agencies to ensure swift response to emerging threats.

The Lieutenant Governor, who chairs the Unified Headquarters in his capacity as head of the administration, is likely to seek detailed reports from field commanders and intelligence agencies on ground-level challenges.
