If Pakistan Attacks Again, Reply Will Be Deadlier Than Operation Sindoor: Lt Gen Manoj K. Katiyar

Jammu, Oct 15, KNT: In a stern warning to Pakistan, Lieutenant General Manoj K. Katiyar, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GoC-in-C), Western Command, said that any future attack by Pakistan on Indian soil would invite a stronger and more devastating response than Operation Sindoor.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of a Mega Ex-Servicemen Rally, Lt General Katiyar said that while warfare technologies have evolved since the 1965 India-Pakistan war, the valour and resolve of the Indian Army remain unmatched. “From the 1965 war to Operation Sindoor, technology may have changed, but the courage of the Indian Army has not. Pakistan recently used a lot of drones, even attempting attacks on Jammu and Pathankot airports, but every such attempt was foiled by our anti-air defence systems,” he said.
“If Pakistan tries to attack again, they will get a bigger and deadlier reply than Operation Sindoor,” the top Army officer declared, adding that “unless Pakistan changes its mindset, it will continue to invite consequences.”
Lt General Katiyar cautioned that the Army is fully prepared for any future challenge, warning that “Operation Sindoor 2.0” would be “even more destructive” if Pakistan persists with its proxy war and cross-border terror operations.

“Operation Sindoor successfully neutralised terror infrastructure and destroyed Pakistani airbases and posts. We are always ready to respond with greater force if provoked,” he said, underscoring that the Indian Army’s response capability today is “far more advanced and precise.”
The Western Command chief said that the success of Operation Sindoor was due to coordinated support from the administration, ex-servicemen, and local populations. He stressed that the Indian Army remains vigilant along the 740-km Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, while the 240-km International Border continues to be guarded by the Border Security Force.
