Ganderbal Police Warns Against Sharing Inflammatory, Anti-National Social Media Content

 

Ganderbal, Nov 12, KNT: Ganderbal Police on Tuesday issued a strong advisory cautioning social media users against posting or sharing inflammatory and anti-national content related to the recent Red Fort blast.

According to the advisory, several users have been found mocking the tragic incident, with certain posts and reactions on social media platforms described as deeply insensitive and provocative. The police termed such behaviour as “inhumane and anti-national,” warning that it spreads hatred and disrupts public harmony.

The statement urged citizens to maintain responsibility while using social media. “All citizens are advised to refrain from posting, sharing, or engaging with any content that is anti-national, communal, or insensitive in nature,” the advisory read.

It further appealed to the public to report such objectionable posts or accounts directly to law enforcement agencies or the concerned social media platforms instead of amplifying them.

Ganderbal Police added that it is keeping a close watch on social media activity and that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found creating or promoting content that violates the law or threatens public peace. [KNT]
