Lawyers Hold Farewell for Judge Jeema Bashir at Srinagar Court Complex

 

Srinagar, Nov 18, KNT: A farewell ceremony was held on Tuesday at the District Court Complex Srinagar in honour of District and Sessions Judge Jeema Bashir, who has been transferred from Srinagar to Bandipora. The event marked her elevation as the Principal District and Sessions Judge of the district.

The Lawyers’ Fraternity of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Srinagar, organised a special programme in the conference hall of the court complex to acknowledge her service as the Presiding Officer of MACT. Lawyers said her tenure of more than two and a half years was marked by dedication, discipline and commitment to timely justice delivery.

Members of the fraternity recalled her work ethic and described her as a judge who maintained both professionalism and accessibility. They said her approach during hearings and case management left a positive impact on the functioning of the tribunal.

At the end of the event, Judge Jeema Bashir expressed gratitude to the lawyers for organising what she described as a memorable farewell. She thanked them for their cooperation throughout her tenure and wished the legal community continued success.
