‘LG Sinha Sitting on Files, Delaying Our Government’s Work; : Dr Farooq Abdullah

Jammu, Nov 3, KNT: National Conference President and former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah on Monday criticized the administration led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, alleging that files concerning public welfare and government development work were being delayed unnecessarily.

“LG Sinha is sitting on files and delaying our government’s work. He should be a friend of the government and the people,” Abdullah said while speaking to reporters in Jammu. “If the administration becomes an obstacle instead of a facilitator, how will progress be achieved? The LG must understand that he represents the people’s aspirations, not merely the bureaucracy.”

The veteran leader said development and governance require coordination between elected representatives and the administration, warning that delays and procedural stagnation were harming public interest. “Governance is not about paperwork and files collecting dust; it is about serving the people on the ground,” he remarked.
