Budgam, Nov 15, KNT: Newly elected MLA from Budgam Aga Syed Muntazir on Saturday called for a thorough probe into the accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station that claimed nine lives and left more than thirty injured. Describing the incident as a serious lapse, he questioned how highly sensitive explosive material was kept in an open area within the police station.
Speaking to reporters, Muntazir said the tragedy demanded full-scale accountability. “It is a big lapse. How was such sensitive material stored in the open inside a police station? Those responsible must be questioned and appropriate action must follow,” he said.
The MLA also urged the administration to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured. “I appeal to the authorities to take proper care of all injured personnel and civilians. They must receive the highest standard of treatment,” he added. [KNT]
