Strange, Baffling, Goosebumps-Worthy things found in the Qur’an

1. The Word “Sea” and “Land” appear in an exact ratio of the Earth’s surface

This one is famous and correct.

  • Sea (بحر) appears 32 times

  • Land (برّ) appears 13 times

Total = 45

Now look at percentages:

  • Sea = 32 ÷ 45 = 71.11%

  • Land = 13 ÷ 45 = 28.88%

🌍 Modern science says the Earth is 71% water and 29% land.

That’s… uncomfortable for atheists.

2. The embryo description in the Quran matches modern embryology

Surah Al-Mu’minun 23:12–14 describes:

  • Drop (nutfah)

  • Clinging thing (alaqah)

  • Lump (mudghah)

  • Bones

  • Flesh covering bones

This is exactly how human embryos develop, stage by stage.

Even Dr. Keith Moore (world-leading embryologist) admitted it was shockingly accurate for 7th century Arabia.

3. Iron is said to be “sent down” — and modern science now agrees

Surah Al-Hadid 57:25:

“…and We sent down iron…”

Meteoric iron literally came to Earth from outer space.
Earth did NOT produce iron naturally — it formed in massive stars and arrived through meteorites.

The Quran’s phrase “sent down” becomes crazy meaningful.

4. Mountains described as “pegs” — and that is exactly what they are

Surah An-Naba 78:6–7:

“And We placed within the Earth mountains as pegs.”

Modern geology discovered:

  • Mountains have deep roots extending underground

  • They stabilize the Earth’s crust

Just like pegs of a tent.

5. Expansion of the Universe mentioned 1400 years ago

Surah Adh-Dhariyat 51:47:

“We built the heaven with power, and We are expanding it.”

The 20th century proved the universe is expanding continually.

The wording is perfect.

6. Every living thing created from water

Surah Al-Anbiya 21:30:

“We made from water every living thing.”

Modern biology:
Cells = mostly water
No life can exist without water.

7. The barrier between two seas

Surah Ar-Rahman 55:19–20:

“He released the two seas, meeting yet not mixing. Between them is a barrier.”

Oceanography discovered:

  • Fresh and saltwater bodies meet

  • They do not mix immediately due to salinity and density differences

  • There’s a visible boundary

Exactly as the Quran described.

8. No contradictions — despite being revealed over 23 years

The Quran repeatedly challenges:

“If it were from other than Allah, you would find many contradictions.”

Language, message, logic — all remain astonishingly consistent across decades.

9. The Pharaoh’s preserved body

Surah Yunus 10:92:

“Today We will preserve your body so you become a sign for future generations.”

The mummy of Ramses II (likely the Pharaoh of Moses) was discovered in 1898, well after the Quran.

His body is remarkably preserved.

10. Honey has healing properties

Surah An-Nahl 16:68-69:

Honey is now proven:

  • Antibacterial

  • Antifungal

  • Healing wounds

  • Better than many antibiotics

How did the Quran know?

11. Fingerprints referenced

Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:4:

“We are able to reconstruct even his fingertips.”

Fingerprints?
Unique to every human?
Discovered only in the 19th century.

12. Pain receptors in the skin (not deep inside)

Surah An-Nisa 4:56:

Talks about replacing skin to continue pain — because pain receptors are in the skin.

Science discovered this recently.

13. Bees mentioned as ‘female workers’

Surah An-Nahl 16:68 uses Female verbs for bees.
Modern science: worker bees are female.

Men? They do nothing (typical men 😄).

14. The floating nature of the Earth

Surah An-Naml 27:88:

Mountains appear still but actually move —
Earth’s crust is floating on molten magma.

15. The “joining” of the heavens and Earth

Surah Al-Anbiya 21:30:

Modern cosmology:
The universe was one “mass” that expanded — Big Bang.

The verse fits perfectly.
