Udhampur, Nov 30, KNT: A road accident involving a truck and a motorcycle claimed the life of a 19-year-old youth near the Ramnagar Bus Stand in Udhampur district on Sunday afternoon, officials said.
According to official sources, the collision left the motorcycle rider severely injured. He was immediately taken to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar, where doctors provided emergency treatment before referring him to Government Medical College Udhampur for advanced care.
Officials said the youth died while being moved to the higher medical facility due to the severity of his injuries.

Police have registered the incident for further enquiry and have begun investigating the circumstances that led to the accident. [KNT]
