Jammu Police Say Exfiltrant From Rajouri Held With MP5 Rifle

 

Jammu, Dec 13, KNT: Border Security Force personnel on Friday apprehended an intruder carrying a weapon near the International Border in the Pargwal area of Jammu.

Officials identified him as Abdul Khalid son of late Noor Muhammad, a native of Margah village in Ujhan panchayat of Darhal tehsil, Rajouri. Police said he had exfiltrated to Pakistan in 2021.

According to officials, BSF troops intercepted the individual during routine border surveillance and recovered an MP5 rifle from his possession. The seized items include one MP5 rifle, one magazine containing ten rounds and one empty drum magazine.

The intruder was handed over to Police Post Pargwal under Police Station Khour for further legal action. Jammu Police said the case has been taken up for investigation to determine his movement, intent and possible links. [KNT]
