Kothibagh Police Launch Checking Drive in City Centre, Out-of-State Vehicles Scrutinised

Srinagar, Dec 16, KNT: Kothibagh Police on Tuesday conducted a traffic checking drive across key commercial and public areas of central Srinagar to curb traffic violations and ensure compliance with motor vehicle laws, officials said.

During the drive, vehicles bearing out-of-state registration numbers were closely monitored and checked at multiple locations, including Lal Chowk, Regal Chowk, Residency Road, MA Road and the Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) area. Officials said motorcycles were also subjected to thorough checking as part of the enforcement exercise.

Police personnel verified documents, including driving licences, registration certificates and insurance papers, while also checking adherence to traffic norms. Officials said the drive was aimed at improving road discipline and enhancing public safety in busy city areas.
