Srinagar, Dec 12, KNT: Applicants in the jurisdiction of Naib Tehsildar Channapora, Natipora division, have been facing severe difficulties as the concerned Revenue portal has remained non-functional since November. Locals said that applicants seeking domicile certificates, income certificates, and other essential documents have been left in limbo for more than a month.
People said they continue to visit the office in the hope of progress, but staff have informed them that the issue is already known to higher authorities and remains unresolved. Applicants said hundreds of requests, including those required for employment, admissions and government benefits, are stuck at the verification stage with no clarity on when the system will resume operations.
The prolonged downtime has caused frustration among applicants who described the situation as an avoidable administrative failure. They questioned why the Revenue Department has not restored the service despite knowing the problem for weeks.
