Traffic Resumes on Mughal Road After Temporary Closure, Srinagar-Jammu Highway Remains Open

Jammu, Dec 30, KNT: Traffic movement on the Mughal Road was resumed on Tuesday after remaining temporarily closed due to adverse weather conditions, while the Jammu Kashmir National Highway continued to remain open for vehicular traffic.

Officials said the Mughal Road, connecting the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch with south Kashmir, was earlier suspended as a precautionary measure due to weather-related concerns and fog conditions. Following an improvement in the situation and clearance of the road stretch, authorities allowed traffic to resume.

They said necessary arrangements were put in place to ensure smooth and safe movement of vehicles on the route, advising commuters to exercise caution while travelling, particularly during early morning and evening hours.
