Canadian tourist injured while skiing in Gulmarg, hospitalized

Gulmarg, Jan 30, KNT: A foreign tourist was injured after a fall while skiing in Gulmarg and was shifted to a tertiary care hospital for further treatment, officials said on Friday.

The injured was initially referred from Primary Health Centre Tangmarg and brought to the Bone and Joint Hospital, Barzulla. According to the statement of his attendant, the tourist sustained injuries after falling during skiing at the Gulmarg ski resort.

The injured tourist has been identified as Quentin, aged about 28 years, a resident of Canada. Doctors said he suffered injuries to his back and lower abdomen.

After preliminary examination at Bone and Joint Hospital Barzulla, the patient was shifted to SKIMS Soura for specialised treatment and further medical evaluation.
