Security forces launch search operation in Sidhra forests ahead of Republic Day

Jammu, Jan 9, KNT: Security forces on Friday launched a search operation in the forest area of Sidhra in Jammu district as part of heightened security measures ahead of Republic Day celebrations, officials said.

Officials said teams of security forces were deployed in the forest belt early in the day to carry out area domination and search operations. The operation is aimed at ensuring security and preventing any untoward incident in view of the upcoming national event.

Sources said the forest area has been cordoned off, and thorough searches are being conducted while maintaining close surveillance. Additional checkpoints and patrols have also been strengthened in adjoining areas as a precautionary measure.
