Batmaloo Locals Complain of Frequent Unscheduled Power Cuts, Seek MD JKPDD’s Intervention Ahead of Ramadan

Srinagar, Feb 17, KNT: Residents of the Batmaloo area in Srinagar have lodged a formal complaint with the Managing Director of Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Department over frequent unscheduled power cuts and irregular electricity supply in the locality.

In a written representation, the residents said that despite scheduled load shedding hours, they have been facing repeated unannounced and prolonged power outages over the past one month in Feeder-5. They alleged that the erratic supply is severely disrupting daily life.

The signatories to the complaint stated that with the holy month of Ramadan approaching, the frequent outages are likely to cause serious inconvenience, particularly to senior citizens and families observing fasting.

The residents have urged the Managing Director to personally intervene in the matter and direct the technical staff to adhere strictly to the announced power schedule, avoiding unannounced cuts.
