Mughal Road Opens for LMVs from Bufliaz to Peer Ki Gali

Poonch, Feb 26, KNT: The District Magistrate Poonch has ordered the reopening of the Mughal Road stretch from Bufliaz to Peer Ki Gali for Light Motor Vehicles from February 27, subject to fair weather conditions.

According to the official order, vehicular movement on the Bufliaz to Peer Ki Gali stretch of National Highway-701A will be permitted between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM only, provided there are no unforeseen circumstances.

The order follows clearance of snow accumulation along the route and recommendations from the concerned authorities.

The Officer Commanding 79 RCC GREF has been directed to ensure deployment of adequate men and machinery at vulnerable and avalanche-prone locations to promptly address any eventualities including landslides, avalanches and shooting stones, and to facilitate smooth and uninterrupted traffic movement.

The Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch and the Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic Rural Jammu have been instructed to deploy sufficient personnel at Behramgalla, Bufliaz and Poshana check posts to regulate traffic and ensure strict adherence to the notified timings.

Commuters have been advised to plan their travel strictly in accordance with traffic advisories issued by the Traffic Police. [KNT]
