Probe-linked raid in Anantnag house leads to seizure of phone, CIK questions female doctor from Haryana

 

Anantnag, Nov 16, KNT: A team of CIK Anantnag conducted a late-night raid at the Malaknag residence of a doctor, in connection with an ongoing investigation linked to the Nowgam case registered under FIR 162 of 2025.

Officials told Kashmir News Trust that during the intervening night intervention, the search team found a female doctor, originally from Janta Colony in Rohtak, Haryana, staying on rent at the house since October 2023. She is MBBS qualified and is presently in the final year of General Medicine at GMC Anantnag.

During the search, the team seized a mobile phone along with a SIM card. The raid was carried out as part of the investigation into FIR 162 of 2025 registered at Police Station Nowgam Srinagar under sections 13, 18, 20, 23 and 38 of the ULA(P) Act, section 7/25 of the I.A. Act and section 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
