Red Fort blast: NIA arrests another Kashmiri man accused of providing technical support

Srinagar, Nov 17, KNT: The National Investigation Agency on Monday arrested another key associate linked to the Red Fort area car bomb blast that killed ten persons and left thirty two others injured. The arrest was made by an NIA team camping in the Valley to investigate the case registered as RC 21 of 2025.

The accused has been identified as Jasir Bilal Wani, also known as Danish, a resident of Qazigund in Anantnag district. Officials said he was taken into custody from Srinagar.

According to the agency, Jasir was allegedly involved in providing technical support to the group by modifying drones and attempting to develop rockets in preparation for terror attacks. Investigators said he had worked closely with the accused terrorist Umar un Nabi in planning the blast.

NIA officials said multiple angles of the conspiracy are being examined. Several teams are pursuing leads across different states to identify all individuals connected with the bombing. Searches and technical analysis are ongoing to map the full network behind the attack. [KNT]
