Multiple Locations Searched in Drive Against Banned JeI in South Kashmir’s Anantnag

Anantnag, Nov 27, KNT: Police in Anantnag on Thursday carried out extensive raids at multiple locations across the district as part of a crackdown on the banned organisation Jamaat e Islami.

Officials said searches were conducted at residential premises and other locations linked to JeI members and their associates. The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to dismantle support structures and curb activities considered inimical to public order.

Police said the drive is aimed at identifying individuals involved in unlawful activities and preventing revival of banned networks in the district. Verification procedures were also carried out during the searches. [KNT]
